{"id":9071,"date":"2020-03-25T15:57:11","date_gmt":"2020-03-25T14:57:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.euroregion-naen.eu\/?p=9071"},"modified":"2020-06-18T15:58:41","modified_gmt":"2020-06-18T13:58:41","slug":"covid-19-information-on-cross-border-transport","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.euroregion-naen.eu\/en\/covid-19-en\/covid-19-information-on-cross-border-transport\/","title":{"rendered":"COVID-19: Information on cross-border transport"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Given the crisis situation caused by Covid-19, the transport authorities on both sides of our border have set the objective to reconcile the continuity of the public transport system, and have taken certain decisions to guarantee the safety of drivers and users.<\/p>\n<p>In this context, the mobility authority of the Basque Country Agglomeration Community has launched the initiative of Transport On Demand (French acronym, TAD), aimed at health personnel in the areas in which the Chronoplus network operates. Furthermore, the mobility authority has placed a free electric bicycle service at the disposal of health personnel. The objective of this authority is to provide those movements that are strictly necessary, given the health crisis caused by the expansion of the Covid-19.<\/p>\n<p>From the 17<sup>th<\/sup> of March 2020, all the regular Hegobus lines are maintained, with novelties in the service offer. The cross-border lines 31 and 33 will not offer services at the Irun stops\u00a0 until further notice.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Line 31: the Irun stops of Ficoba, Mendibil, Plaza de San Juan and Nafarroa will not be in service. The final stop of Line 31 is Hendaya \u2013 Puente Internacional.<\/li>\n<li>Line 33: The Irun-Behobia stop will not be in service. The final stop of Line 33 is Hendaya \u2013 B\u00e9hobie.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Regarding the cross-border rail connection, the Topo, railway line operated by Euskotren, will only provide a service to the Irun Ficoba station. The closure of our border as a result of the measures adopted, to limit the spread of Covid-19, will remain in force until further notice. All trains arriving and departing from the Hendaya station will travel to and from the Irun \u2013 Ficoba halt. As from the 6<sup>th<\/sup> of April, Euskotren will reduce its train timetable from Topi to 38% of the services that if offers daily on the Lasarte Oria \u2013 Donostia San Sebastian \u2013 Hendaia line.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Given the crisis situation caused by Covid-19, the transport authorities on both sides of our border have set the objective to reconcile the continuity of the public transport system, and have taken certain decisions to guarantee the safety of drivers and users.
